Over the past week on vacation, I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten my body weight in crab cakes, teriyaki salmon, and Diablo-style mussels. The beach was amazing, but I’m ready to get back to my routine.
I love fresh juice, especially on days like today when I need a little reset after traveling.
Have you tried Clean Juice yet? Trendy but delightfully unpretentious, Clean Juice is a 100% organic juice bar with locations across the eastern US. The staff is friendly, the stores are super clean, the produce is all organic, and the juice is as fresh as it gets.
I love how Clean Juice tastes refreshingly homemade – because it is. It’s really different from the juice you buy at the grocery store.
When I took my first sip of Green, I was instantly reminded of the late-nineties, when my dad would break out his Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and try to convince my sister and I to try one of his apple-and-carrot concoctions. I hadn’t had juice this fresh since way back then.
For you cleanse-lovers out there, Clean Juice has you covered, too. I haven’t tried the full days-long cleanse (yet) but I’ve heard good things. And the cleanse FAQ page has a ton of helpful info, such as why to do a cleanse in the first place, what time to drink each juice, and how to manage hunger cravings. I learned a ton while writing this post so I’d recommend checking that page out.
Glass > Plastic
I gotta be honest: the only thing I’m not crazy about is the plastic bottles.
For this juice bar to be a knock-out-of-the-park, 10/10 in my book, I’d love to see them implement a glass bottle program. This might be on hold due to COVID-19. If that’s the case, I’d be glad to see it return someday.
More Than Just Juice
I should also add that, despite the name, they don’t stop at juice: you can try an açaí bowl, avocado toast, or a breakfast wrap.
Just like the juice you’d make from scratch at home, Clean Juice isn’t pasteurized. This greatly affects the freshness and taste (in a good way), but keep in mind that it’s not for everyone. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding shouldn’t partake.
